Advantages
Structure and Operation of the Mega3 Series
The Mega3 fibre laser cutting system is designed for tubes with a maximum diameter of 350 mm. The Mega3 series has been specifically developed to:
- Support and cut long and heavy tubes
- Ensure an automatic loading system
- Offer an efficient mandrel locking system
- Automate the unloading process of the finished piece
3+1 Mandrel System
The system is equipped with a 3+1 mandrel system to adequately support and hold the tube or profile during cutting. It is not necessary to change the clamping jaws depending on the diameter or section. The mandrels slide on a sturdy side guide, which reduces the overall dimensions of the machine.
Automatic Loading System: The automatic chain system allows tubes and profiles with the following specifications to be loaded: diameter: from 30 to 350 mm and maximum length: 6300 mm. The system is equipped with an automatic chain loading system suitable for loading tubes up to 6300 mm long. To switch from a 200 mm diameter tube to a 25 mm tube, the spacers (shown in the image with the red circle) must be moved to the correct position and the parameters on the software must be changed.
Loading capacity and set-up times: Up to 20 tubes with a diameter of 25 mm can be loaded, and the set-up time is approximately 5-10 minutes.
To facilitate the loading of 25 mm diameter tubes, an optional support for a bundle of tubes positioned in front of the loading chain is available. The tubes are transferred from the support to the chain manually.
Automatic unloading system: The tube is unloaded automatically onto a special chain. The maximum tube length is 6000 mm.
