Stargroup at Tube 2026 in Düsseldorf: showcasing complete tube processing solutions
20 April 2026
From April 13 to 17, we attended Tube 2026, the biennial trade fair dedicated to the tube industry held in Düsseldorf. You could find us at Hall 5 / Stand A36, where our team has been available to present our tube processing solutions: from laser cutting to bending and end-forming. In particular, you were able to see a live robotic cell consisting of the EvoBend 450 tube bender integrated with a crushing unit and an anthropomorphic robot. A concrete opportunity to see firsthand how we transform tube processing into an automated, precise, and efficient process.
The robotic cell: bending and crushing in a single automated cycle
The solution we presented at the fair is a robotic cell that integrates three technologies in an automatic sequence: the Star Technology EvoBend 450 two-level tube bender, an MTS crushing unit, and an anthropomorphic robot. The cycle has been fully automated: the robot picks up the tube, positions it in the EvoBend 450 for bending, and immediately transfers it to the MTS unit for end-of-tube processing. The integration of this crushing unit is just one example of the many deformations we can perform in-line, optimizing cycle times and ensuring maximum repeatability without manual intervention.
EvoBend 450: CNC precision for tubes up to Ø 45 mm
The 450 is the flagship model of our EvoBend line: the CNC tube bender designed by Star Technology to combine compactness, bending quality, and operational flexibility. With a capacity of up to Ø 45×3 mm on round steel tubes and a useful length on the gripper of 3,000 mm, we successfully offer it in the HVAC, furniture, plumbing, automotive, and many other sectors. The two-level configuration further extends the machine’s versatility, allowing for the management of complex geometries with rapid tool changes.
